The trapper’s cabins of La Chapelle-Aux-Bois were built by the master Sébastien Mangeonjean from the Vosges: they are log cabins built either on the hillside, close to the source of the Ferme Aventure, or in the heart of the forest. Each habitation is unique and made out of solid wood trunks of spruce. The roof is green and covered with flowers or wooden tiles, which gives a peaceful, warm look to the cabins. A big root was put above the front door, on which 3 wooden birds and a owl welcome their visitors.
“Our freedom is immense, pure. We enjoy a peaceful and harmonious life. At night, when the sun comes down, we come home to our cabin tired but happy. Tomorrow, the golden patina of the boles at sunrise will fill us with wonder”.
