Within easy reach, you can go to Epinal by train, by plane, and of course by car:

BY TRAIN

The TGV Est européen (French high-speed train) goes straight from Epinal to Paris in only 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Many TER (French regional network of trains and coaches) run every day toward Nancy-Metz (making it possible to use connections to go to Southern France or Northern Europe), Strasbourg, and Belfort-Muhlouse-Bâle.

BY PLANE

It takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to go to the Metz-Nancy airport, which is 95 kilometers away from downtown Epinal.

And the airport Epinal-Mirecourt, which offers a flight connection to Paris-Orly Ouest, is 40 kilometers away.

BY COACH

A regular bus service network serves the whole department, as well as the main towns in the neighboring departments.

Please call the tourist office to get information and timetables at 03 29 82 53 32.

BY BOAT

Our French waterway network, which links Burgundy to the bordering countries allows a river connection with Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. This privileged situation contributes to position our watercourses as one of the last bastions among the traditional inland waterways transport, which is very much sought-after by yachtsmen and yachtswomen.

Visitors entering the department from the South will flow through the charming commune of Fontenoy le Château then through the Vôge area, sail past the reservoir in Bouzey, and will leave Vosges around Charmes/Socourt.

The Epinal Inner Harbor has got 20 boat slips available all year round. For any further information please call La Capitainerie restaurant at 03 29 81 33 45.
