French Championship of Road Cycling

This year, the city of Épinal is proud to host the French Championship of Road Cycling for its 110th year, from the 17th to the 20th of June 2021!

The capital of cycling in the east of France is organising this important national event: the French Championship of Road Cycling. It welcomes more than 600 cyclists every year. Great champions are expected to compete: Julian Alaphilippe, world champion, Nacer Bouhanni, champion from Épinal, but also 110 sports teams from all over France.

The best French cyclists and pretenders to the title of French champion will compete against each other on different races in the city of Épinal and its surroundings, through 5 trials:

  • Two time trials taking place this Thursday: Elite women and Elite men
  • Three sprint races taking place on Saturday and Sunday: Elite women, Elite men and Elite professional men

This year, the Tricolore trial is coming back after 20 years of absence to complete this weekend’s programme! This race will allow amateurs to follow the 105 kilometres of road that the professionals will take the next days.

The event will be live broadcasted on TV the whole weekend, on two big national channels: France Télévision for the sprint races and Eurosport for the time trials. This will allow millions of viewers to watch these competitions.

The city of Épinal invites you to come and support the cyclists from the 17th to the 20th of June 2021. Discover the winners who will get the title of French Champion! They will follow Remi Cavagna, Audrey Cordon-Ragot and other winners from last year!
