It was built in 1806 according to the plans of the Nancy architect Grillot in collaboration with Navière – an ordinary engineer of the Ponts et Chaussées. It was built on the former tithe barn of the Chapter Ladies. The Napoleonic-style building has undergone several alterations, extensions and technical improvements. It was renovated in 1994.
The building has continued to evolve but has retained its old-fashioned charm: balconies with subtle mouldings, a ceiling full of flowers... It exudes the majestic atmosphere of another century. You will undoubtedly experience exceptional moments!
“Scènes Vosges” and other local cultural partners, in particular the association “Les Amis du Théâtre Populaire”, ensure the programming of this bicentennial theatre. The programme is eclectic and changes with the seasons.
