Welcome to the world of Une Figue dans le Poirier,
Both a landscape garden and an edible forest, Une Figue dans le Poirier is a contemporary garden unique in the Grand Est region, with its collections of 3,000 plants from around the world, where English aesthetics, Japanese philosophy, topiary art, the beauty of wild landscapes, contemporary art and the science of permaculture meet.

Lilian DIDIER, landscape gardener and visual artist, experiments with daring combinations of plants from 5 continents. Like an impressionist painter, he plays with contrasts, vanishing lines, textures, foliage and the whole palette of colours at his fingertips, to create unique, sensitive gardens that are an ode to the diversity and beauty of the plant kingdom, past and present.
Une Figue dans le Poirier is also a place for sharing: blacksmithing demonstrations, scientific guided tours, Permaculture courses, events for families, schools & leisure centres, concerts, festivals & various DIY workshops.... a whole host of activities for all ages to share with family & friends! Check out our cultural calendar for the year on our website.
We look forward to welcoming you to our garden this year!
