The hiking trail in the north of the Vosges extends from the banks of the Canal des Vosges and the Moselle River. The latter populates the outskirts of the wild Moselle where it is quiet and away from any civilization.

After the gentle and winding paths of the plains, you will be able to climb the slope towards the heights of the village of Socourt crossing orchards and meadows. When you arrive at this viewpoint, you will be rewarded for your walk when looking at the splendid panorama overlooking ponds, the Moselle River and the Canal des Vosges. Continue on the trail to the village of Florémont that runs along the fields and where treasure hunters may have the opportunity to pick up some pentacrinites, old fossils dating from the secondary era...
