If you are staying in the Vosges, why don't you discover the hilly and woody landscapes of our region on bike? Whether you are with family or friends, whether you are a cycling enthusiast or a beginner, our region offers outings that suit everyone. You can discover more than 1,200 kilometres of marked trails for mountain biking, but also 15 different routes that will allow you to discover our historical heritage, 11 cycling road circuits through the most beautiful, typical villages of our region, as well as a 73-kilometre mixed-use trail along the Canal des Vosges, crossing the territory from north to south.

Beginner and amateur bikers have the opportunity to travel a few kilometres out of the 1,200 offered by our trails. These marked mountain bike trails, which mainly cover forest roads, will allow you to discover the diversity of the trees of our forests.

Cyclists have the opportunity to admire our beautiful region and its history through Heritage Touring. You can discover wonderful views and unusual historical monuments! You can follow the banks of the Canal des Vosges taking the cycle route, then pass by small paths to go to the various places of interest we offer. Or you can simply choose your own route, by taking either all or a part of the 73-kilometre mixed-use trail along the canal bank connecting north to south.

The surroundings of the Canal des Vosges invite you to take a totally different look at the countryside, the forest and the villages. The cycle route is marked as the starting point of many other trails which allow you to access many sites rich in history, as well as viewpoints or fortifications. For road cyclists who would like to discover our beautiful region, you get the opportunity of choosing from our 11 recommended circuits. They all start in Épinal and are circular: they will take you back to your starting point.
